Nine Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip
VOICE OF ZAA NKWETA, PRESENTER: The Israeli Defense Forces carried out two military strikes on the Gaza Strip on Friday. The first attack killed two Hamas militants and wounded four, according to Hamas officials. In central Gaza, Israeli forces fired at a group of Palestinian militants, killing four people and wounding several others, including children, doctors said. The Israeli Defense Force released video footage on Friday showing what they called was a car containing Palestinian gunmen being targeted by an air strike in Gaza on Wednesday. According to the Israeli military, the car was fleeing from the scene of attack on Nahal Oz, a terminal between Gaza and Israel, which is used as a passage to supply petrol and gas into the Gaza Strip. On Thursday, Israel cut off the only source of fuel to Gaza’s 1.4 million residents after a Palestinian raid on the Israeli fuel depot, deepening the seaside territory’s hardship. Meanwhile, in the town of Jabalia on Friday, Palestinians gathered at a Hamas demonstration to protest against a month-old Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip.
MUSHIR AL-MASRI, HAMAS LAWMAKER (SUBTITLED TRANSLATION): It is time for you people of the nation to scream, rise and revolt as the children die every day because of the violations of the Zionist enemy and American control over the Palestinian people.
