Terry Tamminen was a businessman and an environmental activist before becoming Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency in November, 2003. In 2004, he became Cabinet Secretary and Chief Policy Advisor to Governor Schwarzenegger. Three years later he left the Governor’s office to work with States across America to pass better environmental policy.
