Rebecca Peters represents the International Action Network on Small Arms or IANSA, the global movement against gun violence.
In the 1990s, she led the campaign that succeeded in comprehensively reforming Australia’s gun laws. The tipping point for Australia was the Port Arthur massacre in 1996, which came after a series of public mass shootings like those experienced frequently in the USA.
