Ira Helfand is a co-Founder and Past President of Physicians for Social Responsibility and co-President of PSR's global federation the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, the recipient of the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize.
Ira is the author of PSR and IPPNW's report "Nuclear Famine: Two Billion at Risk?" He is an internist and emergency medicine physician and practice in Springfield, MA.
