In the first part of our interview with Mark Karlin, Mark explains why he believes that the media did not break the Blagojevich story sooner. Furthermore, since it is unlikely that the Illinois governor is an anomaly, why do we not see more reporting on corruption in US politics? Mark points to the media’s dependence on political ad revenue as the reason for its reluctance to shine light into the dealings of those holding public office.
