TEXT ON SCREEN: Peoples Party and Muslim League-N seal coalition agreement with PPP in dominant role.
NAWAZ SHARIF, LEADER OF PAKISTAN MUSLIM LEAGUE-N: The coalition partners PPP and PMLN undertake to form coalition together for a democratic Pakistan, for translating the mandate given by the people of Pakistan to the democratic forces on February 18, 2008 into action. In today’s summit meeting between the coalition leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N, it was decided that the restoration of the deposed judges as it was on November 2, 2007 shall be brought about through a parliamentary resolution to be passed in the national assembly within 30 days of the formation of the federal government.
ASIF ALI ZARDARI, LEADER OF PAKISTAN PEOPLES PARTY: The parliament of Pakistan and democracy to Pakistan is willing to work with the world if there’s issues facing us, whether it’s on one border or the other and we jointly agree to work together. And we want to remind the world, the democracies haven’t ever gone to war. Inshah Allah [with the will of God] we come up to the expectations of the people of Pakistan and not stakeholders in the region and beyond. We should not disappoint you.

IMRAN KHAN, LEADER OF TEHREEK-E-INSAF: Until the time the courts of Pakistan are free, no Pakistani will let you [Musharraf] or any government live in peace.
ATHAR MINALLAH, LAWYER AND PROTEST ORGANIZER: I think it’s a great day, because Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif, they have announced that through a simple resolution, which requires a simple majority, they will restore the judges within one month.
