Speaker 1:
Tonight we’re out marching against ICE injustice for Renee Goode and all those who have been unjustly killed and undustly detained. We stand with our neighbors and we stand with one another knowing that the people united will never be defeated. I stand for my friends in Minnesota who are out protesting there and knowing friends that are all around the country speaking out. We can do more than we are doing now. And this is just the bare minimum.
Speaker 2:
We are currently marching through downtown Baltimore. There’s hundreds of us and the police have barricaded the streets to prevent traffic from coming through because we are here to demand justice for Renee Goode and demand that ICE never do what they did to her to anyone else ever again.
Speaker 3:
Well, what happened yesterday in Minneneapolis was disgusting. The Trump administration has this goon squat ice that is out after our own citizens. That’s insane. We’re at war with the Trump administration. So I’m protesting the actions of Trump and the actions of ICE. And I’ll be out here until Trump’s gone. Thank you so much.
Speaker 4:
So we’re marching in Baltimore against the Nazi occupation of ICE in America, stealing our neighbors, taking away vital community members that we really need and love very much. Get your neighbors organized, get your friends organized. Teach even your non-political friends about how important this is and just ways to protect each other because we outnumber the fascist completely. And if we all stick together, we can really stop this from getting worse.
Speaker 5:
America’s made out of immigrants. All of us are immigrants. All in our history, the only ones that have been here before time were the American Indians and even that’s been a problem. But we’re all here. We’re all immigrants. We all belong together. We’re united human beings. And that’s why we’re here.
Speaker 6:
I’m Reynold Thomas, wife. And we got married for his green card how many years ago, honey? 30. 40 years ago. 40 years ago. So yeah, we have a 30 year old son living in Maryland, the son of immigrants. And really happy to be here against fascist USA and Trump. And Noah should be put on trial for crimes against humanity in the Hague. Thank
Speaker 5:
You so much. I want to add on to that. Also the fact, I left the Philippines because of Marcus and martial law is happening here all over again. And it’s my fear that I moved from one bad area to another. So we got to keep the USA the way it is.
Speaker 7:
We are out here to protest ICE, which is indistinguishable from Gestapo Nazi forces. And they have been plaguing and terrorizing our country and kidnapping people off the streets. And we’re out here trying to get them out of here.
Speaker 8:
And yeah. We’re here to protect human rights. Human rights have been eroding for decades. Under the lies that the Republicans have been feeding everyday Americans, people are believing it and they don’t even know what’s happening to them. So I’m fighting for human rights for all, because this isn’t just affecting Americans. It’s affecting global security and people all around the world. That’s the
Speaker 7:
Point that everyone knows that all of these issues are interconnected. It’s intersectional. Free Palestine, fuck Ice. It’s all connected. About capitalism. It’s all there. It’s all a class issue. No more of a class war. Thank you.
Speaker 9:
Tonight, people are gathering all across the country. In fact, folks are gathered in Baltimore County and other counties around our state to make sure that people know we are united in the belief that no government agency is above the law. No administration is above the law. No elected official is above the law. What happened to Renee was unjust, it was illegal and it was terrifying. And we must say this plainly. What happened in Minnesota could happen here and we must act to make sure that it doesn’t. There’s a quote I keep coming back to from Justice Thurgood Marshall from Baltimore for moments like this. Where you see wrong or inequality or injustice speak out because this is your country. This is your democracy. Make it, protect it and pass it on. Renee lived that truth, and now it is on each of us to carry on her work, her message, her vision, and her commitment.
If they want to call
Speaker 10:
The National Guard, call them to defend the people against ICE. And if they can’t or won’t do that, then keep them out too. No more. No more. We have to fight these people and fight these systems, but we need to be smart, strategic, and organized. If you aren’t a part of an organization that is doing local organizing already, then start tonight.
Speaker 11:
Every single fascist pick who plays a part in this fascist administration must face justice. Yes. We need not only the abolition of ICE, which is a moral necesssity, but the full prosecution and conviction of every single person involved. ICE is unreformable. Asians of ICE are agents of evil, no different than Nazis. And it’s not just the Republicans, evil as they are, but the feckless centrist Democrats who’ve voted to fund ICE under the Biden administration. Voted to fund ICE under the Biden administration just as they voted to fund the genocide in Husa. Don’t just march today, join an organization and help plan the next action. Talk to me. Talk to any of these speakers. Join an org, join a campaign, accelerate that campaign, achieve the campaign’s goals. If we all do this, ICE will be abolished. It may not happen today. It may not happen tomorrow, but it will never happen unless you get involved.
Only the people organized can properly free the people. I ask you, are you ready to destroy ice? Then let’s get it done.
