Mark Fried is the translator of Eduardo Galeano's Mirrors: Stories of Almost Everyone, Voices of Time: A Life in Stories, Soccer in Sun and Shadow, We Say No: Chronicles 1963-1991, and Walking Words. He is also the translator of the historical collection Echoes of the Mexican-American War and works by Emilia Ferreiro (Past and Present of the Verb to Read and to Write: Essays on Literacy), Jose Ignacio Lopez Vigil, Oscar Ugarteche, and Rafael Barajas Duran.
