Ilan Berman is the Vice President for Policy at the American Foreign Policy Council, a conservative policy think tank. He also serves as Director for the Iran Freedom Initiative, which helps construct policies to combat the ideology on the Islamic Republic of Iran by spreading pluralism and Democratic principles. Berman also serves as a member of the Committee on the Present Danger, which has the stated goal of stiffening American resolve to confront the challenge presented by terrorism and the ideologies that drive it. The Committee on the Present Danger has called for regime change in Iran.
