Bruce Hamilton is a Vice President of Amalgamated Transit Union, the largest union that represents public transit workers in North America and the first US union to join in the fight against the Keystone XL Pipeline. ATU campaigns with transit rider organizations for expansion of transit options as a major part of the solution to climate change. Bruce has been a member of ATU for 40 years, beginning as a Greyhound bus driver. He is a past president of the division of ATU that represents Greyhound workers nationwide. Currently, he serves on the Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, US Department of Transportation, and as ATU's delegate to the International Transport Workers Federation. Bruce has represented ATU at a variety of climate justice events.
