Barry Sanders is the author of The Green Zone: The Environmental Costs of Militarism. He holds a Ph.D. in medieval literature. He held a joint position in literature and the history of ideas at Pitzer College, of the Claremont Colleges, for some thirty-five years. He now co-chairs, with Anne-Marie Oliver, an MA Program in Critical Theory and Creative Research at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, in Portland, Oregon.
