Alan Rowsome has been with The Wilderness Society since 2005 - first as Executive Assistant to the President and now as the Senior Director of Government Relations for Lands. As Sr. Government Relations Director, Alan leads TWS' advocacy in Congress and with the Administration on wildland designations, conservation funding efforts through the budget and appropriations process, and on legislation pertaining to the protection of our national system of wildlands. Alan is a staff director of the America's Voice for Conservation, Recreation and Preservation, a bipartisan coalition advocating for increased federal investment in the nation's outdoor recreation economy. He is also a co-chair for the Land and Water Conservation Fund Coalition, a group of more than 100 organizations and businesses who work to provide funding for LWCF each year.
