Brian Skerrett: How can such a formerly great country such as the United States allow itself to
follow such policies as the National Defence Authorization Act which is absolutely contrary to the
constitution? And allowing corporations to make unlimited donations to political campaigns because
they are "citizen" equivalents is just wrong. Congress and the senate appear to be bought and paid for

Corporations are entities with rights until they commit a crime and then they are just an organization and can not be punished. Don't you see how it works out great? ha ha
Its crazy how election finance deregulation has been allowed with so little fan fare but again its not coincidence. My simple answer would be that Americans have become content and lazy with an easy life and abundance of luxuries (compared to teh average global citizen), so they do not bother learning how they are being taken for suckers. I think its human nature, the King never loses his head until people are starving in the streets. If only we could make rational decisions for the good of all, but that's just idealist socialist talk.
