Another great clip of Mr. Ellsburg, this time for stating that the war is not winnable unless we bring back the draft since it will take 500,000 troops in Afghanistan. It's the #1 reason why Clinton didn't invade Iraq in 1999, because he was told it would take 400,000 troops (http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB207/index.htm) and this is why Shinseki was fired by Bush, by stating these numbers. This war is NOT vital to our national security. If it really was vital, they'd bring back the draft. |
