In his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, launched a scathing attack on what he called the "Tyrants of Tehran".
He also said that the most urgent challenge facing the United Nations today is stopping Iran from producing nuclear arms.
Delegates from Iran were absent, as Netanyahu denounced the UN for Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's previous speech.
Al Jazeera's Ayman Mohyeldin reports from New York.
