Once Senator Joe Lieberman was Senator Barack Obama's mentor and urged him to "reach for the stars." Then he fiercely campaigned against Obama alongside his close friend, Republican Senator John McCain. He lost his bet. Many a Democrat believed there was only one way out as far as Lieberman was concerned: heavy punishment by the Democratic Party. The President-elect ordered otherwise. Lieberman thought he was a shoe-in for the VP slot and was thus sucking up big time to McCain. When McCain picked Palin, Lieberman became the mouse in church. I believe he is a vindictive man and was still trying to get back at the Dems for not fighting harder when the election was stolen in 2000.

I along with most others, dearly hope that Obama, who has such great expectations on his shoulders, can stand free of those deep pockets who propelled him onto office, and do what is right for the greater good.

Next- he's no more Democrat than a member of the Knesset is a member of the Nazi party.
Next - In terms of putting "country before party" the country he puts before anything American is Israel.
