JAISAL NOOR, TRNN: Welcome to the Real News Network. I'm Jaisal Noor here in front of the Clarence Mitchell Courthouse in Baltimore, Maryland. In a few moments, the fourth day of the trial of Officer William Porter is about to start. Yesterday we saw the seating of a twelve-person jury, eight black, four white. We saw the opening arguments of the defense and prosecution. The prosecution is arguing William Porter was criminally negligent by not buckling in Freddie Gray after he was arrested, and not giving him medical care. The prosecution says he knew that was his job and his responsibility, and he should be held accountable. Later today we're going to also be interviewing Michael Wood, a former police officer in Baltimore, who blew the whistle on what he said was widespread misconduct.

Stay tuned to for that report, and follow us on Twitter and on Facebook for ongoing reports from this courthouse all day, and the upcoming days and weeks.
