ZAA NKWETA, PRESENTER: Lawyers in Karachi, Pakistan, held protests today, demanding that the judges dismissed by President Pervez Musharraf be reinstated. President Musharraf replaced members of the judiciary during the November state of emergency with judges of his own choosing. Deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry rallied supporters from house arrest, telling them that victory is not far off. Protests also took place in Lahore and Quetta as lawyers clashed with government forces.
