| Hartmann: The Good, The Bad, and The Very Very Sibylinely Ugly: Including Newt Gingrich (by mistake) | |
| Uploaded by TheBigPictureRT on Dec 1, 2011 The Good! Newt Gingrich! He probably didn't MEAN to make this list - but he ended up on it because he let this little bit of truth slip out while at a town hall even in South Carolina last night. The Bad! Glenn Beck. Ever heard of the guy? Glenn Beck continues his descent into irrelevance after leaving GOP TV's Fox so-called News - but he did return to his old employer and spew some nonsense on the O'Reilly Factor. And the Very, Very Ugly...Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church. The Pike County, Kentucky charge jumped in a time machine and traveled backward forty years to issue a resolution that bans interracial couples from becoming members of the church or participating in worship activities. Unclear if they'll also be taking the word Freewill out of the name of their church | |

| U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Reports Syria's Death Toll Tops 4,000 | |
| Uploaded by NTDTV on Dec 2, 2011 U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay warns that the increasing number of army defectors taking up arms against Assad's regime is pushing Syria into a civil war. The death toll during the past eight months has gone over 4,000. Syria is on the cusp of civil war as rebel soldiers and others take up arms against the government of President Bashar al-Assad, the top U.N. human rights official said on Thursday. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay told a news conference that 4,000 people are already known to have died in the unrest in Syria this year. [Navi Pillay, U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights]: "We are placing the figure at 4,000 but really the reliable information coming to us is that it is much more than that." The U.N. Human Rights Council is holding an emergency session on Syria on Friday following a report by an independent U.N. commission of inquiry that said Syrian forces have committed crimes against humanity including executions, torture and rape. [Navi Pillay, U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights]: "In my recommendation to the Security Council, I urged that they take action and refer Syria to the international Criminal Court because there was enough evidence pointing to the Commission of Crimes against Humanity. And I see now, from the very factual and comprehensive report delivered by the commission of Enquiry into Syria which will be discussed tomorrow before the Human Rights Council, that that is also a finding of the Commission." The United States, European Union and Arab League blacklisted Syrian VIPs and companies on Thursday, hoping to force an end to the eight-month military crackdown on pro-democracy protesters challenging Assad's rule. | |
