Videos - Russell Brand Pushing the Limits: GQ=Genocide Quips
KMC » 1pm - Sep 9, 2013
After the previous speaker made light of bombing in Syria, Apparently Russell Brand was kicked out of an exclusive event based on this award acceptance speech. This Nazi Joke Got Russell Brand Banned from the GQ Awards After-Party: When one invites Russell Brand to an awards ceremony, one should expect to have their sponsor's Nazi ties rehashed in public by Russell Brand. GQ UK apparently didn't get that memo, and decided to present the Brit-com with the Oracle Award at last week's GQ Men of the Year Awards, sponsored by erstwhile Nazi tailor Hugo Boss. "Any of you who know a little bit about history and fashion will know that Hugo Boss made the uniforms for the Nazis," Brand told a sideswiped audience at London's Royal Opera House. "The Nazis did have flaws, but, you know, they did look fucking fantastic, let's face it, while they were killing people on the basis of their religion and sexuality." That was not the last of Brand's "Genocide Quips," but it was the end of his involvement with the GQ festivities. According to reports seemingly confirmed by Brand himself, the actor-slash-soothsayer got himself booted from the Hugo Boss-sponsored awards ceremony after-party. Brand later posted a tweet appearing to recall a conversation he had with a GQ editor following his controversial acceptance speech: Russell Brand ✔ @rustyrockets GQ editor: "What you did was very offensive to Hugo Boss." Me:" What Hugo Boss did was very offensive to the Jews." #GQAwards #nazitailor 11:05 AM - 4 Sep 2013   Above from:
