The Economic Recovery is a top priority so smoothing trade and tariffs is important. The Obama administration set up the "Trans Pacific Partnership" TPP to fast track the process. .And what other group is better qualified to work out the details then the primary stakeholders - the industries that are directly impacted by trade barriers and regulation. Not surprising, they had plenty of suggestions to get things rolling. But most of what wound up in the agreement is secret. So when some of it leaked out - people took notice. Especially the parts changing the regulations on the environmental, copyright, Pharmaceuticals, labor, media, and health regulations. All it seemed regulated by some super court empowered to force any country to abide by the agreement. Dr. Margaret Flowers has strapped herself to a 15 foot high metal tripod blocking traffic to a luxury golf resort where a very Important International Trade Conference is taking place. Another activists lays in front of traffic. The police threaten imminent arrest. Nearby a banner sails high with a message drawing attention to the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), which attracts neighbors and conference attendees.
