Rutgers students and pro-health care reform advocates took to the streets on Rutgers College Avenue campus to raise awareness about the health care debate. The pro-reform rally came on the heels of President Obamas key policy speech detailing his plan for national health care. Rally organizers, which included the campus womens activist group the Radigals, the liberal watchdog New Jersey Citizen Action and Rutgers chapters of the NAACP and the American Medical Student Association, say they hope pro-reform rallies can help balance vocal opponents who have dominated town hall meetings.
