well done The Real News Network you consistently cover stories in depth with interviews that other media gloss over or fail to cover at all. it is hard to say that i enjoy recountings of broken bottles being inserted into anus's or of people being boiled alive, but i hope you understand me. well done also the 9/11 Redux interviews amongst many others are insightful. Is there a poor man's subscription available to enable you to keep up your sterling work?

This excellent report had me thinking about Misha Glenny's "McMafia" and his breakdown of the complex cobweb of the ETG scam. Most people understandably associate organized crime with drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, and similar activities. But the biggest bosses of Russia and Ukraine understood the big money was in the arms industry and energy sector which are monopolized by states. Turning their attention to the state, they bid to legitimize themselves and threaten those forces that have a monopoly on violence, sometimes winning popular support as in Mexico and Afghanistan.
