Kudos to ANZAC68 for the trenchant remarks. I also like Pepe's use of the term "killing fields" because this really is a bloodbath brought to us by murderous psychos. The fact that they are psychos doesn't become apparent until you notice that almost everything they say is either an obfuscation, dissembling, or an out-right lie and that they seem to be bent on making the Palestinians as miserable as possible, up to and including blowing women and children to bits.

There seems to be a parallel in methodology of running press conferences when it comes to invasions by the USA and Israel. Anyone else notice the similar schools of thought here? Create problem, falsely accuse of terrorism, invade defenseless nation, slaughter civilians mercilessly then blame them for being in the way; while the innocent try to survive it all. This is where we are now, and Zionism seems to be the common factor. Is there a school for this or do I contract it out?

What i fail to understand is even if the apparently made 90,000 phone calls to Gaza civilians asking them to leave their homes. Where exactly are these civilians supposed to go. Israel has a blockade on one side and Egypt closed its borders. So the only place left to go is UN shelters or the ocean. Civilians went to the UN shelters but Israeli army bombed that too. So was Israeli administration expecting people to roll over and die or maybe drown themselves? This Israeli administration should be charged for war crimes. Gaza catastrophe 09 .. Never again!

Every act of aggression and invasion by every power is legitimized by calling it "defense". The Nazis were "defending" Germany when they launched their attacks, as was Russia in their attack in Afghanistan, as was the US when it attacked and decimated Vietnam. Delve deeper into the geopolitics of the so-called two state solution and you will find that Israel intends for Palestine to become a colony, nothing more. Colony: In politics and in history, a colony is a territory under the immediate political control of a state. Palestine's political leaders will be hand-picked and vetted by Israel not voted for via the people, Israel will retain complete control of Palestine's airspace, borders, and on and on (water, never mentioned, is a key issue here). Really, why would the Palestinian people, or any people, accept those terms? Not on their lives or the lives of their oppressors. Hamas is not the key, in or out of the picture. It's the U.S. and its unilateral military support in terms of weapons and money that needs to be out of the picture so that a real Palestinian state may someday be a reality.

As for international law, well, phosphorous weapons were deemed illegal by international law. Therefore she is a liar. Clearly she learned a script that justifies Israel and personifies Israelis as great humanitarians. These "humanitarians" want to teach the Palestinians that "they are a defeated people." If democracy means anything it means that an elected government is legitimate: Hamas was elected by the Palestinians in Gaza. Deal with it. Israel is empowered to act the way it does by the American government. There must come a time when the U.S. takes the side of the Palestinians to bring about a two-state solution. Israel does NOT want a two state solution; it wants apartheid and holds the American government hostage in order to establish it.
